Vintage High Waisted 1940s Open Bottom Corset Girdle w Boning + Metal Zipper. From a local estate, this 1940s DONEL Originals high waisted open bottom girdle has certainly seen better days, but it does have its charms. This pale peachy pink girdle has front and rear satin panels. But first, the gory details: It is stained water or rust stains?
Throughout, has elastic drops for the garters but alas no garters. It's been man/woman handled with gloriously ugly hand stitching to "take it in" in certain places no doubt for a tighter fit. Now for the silver lining: It's got a very chunky heavy metal side zipper with a row of yes, heavy metal hooks & eyes. The zipper are is lined with that soft-n-fuzzy pale peachy pink crushed velvet to protect your delicate hip area from the metal. And YES, there is boning on the hips - both sides. Oh and LOTS of stretch still left in this old girl. Designers, costumers, theater, history buffs or anyone who loves this style girdle! This item has not been laundered and will leave to the new owner to care for it as they see fit. There is no size or fabric label. Please compare your measurements to those listed below.
