Vintage 1950s Fortuna girdle size 27, never worn, open bottom, peach/beige

Fortuna girdle corset with garters, size 27, never worn, wonderful vintage. Here's a marvelous old girdle by Fortuna in a shade of warm beige with peach tones--a color that used to be called Rachelle.

Color is truest with the teal background, but the white background shows how the color tends toward peach. This one has never been worn... Not even by my dress-up mannequin. The size marked is 27, but the waist measures more like 24, with hips to about 34. There are elastic panels, yes, but much of the elasticity is gone. Stretch them once, and they will probably be stretched permanently to somedegree. You may get a slightly bigger garment that way. A nice jacquard weave in the cotton-rayon blend... A peach of a little girdle, good for petite pinups!

This piece was an estate find. From a nonsmoking, pet-loving home. The cats almost never wear lingerie, but they might help me tape up a package.
